Android App FAQs

How do you get your appointments to show in the new Android app?

Version 2.0 of the Android app, released on May 23, 2016, made a change to the way your appointments are tracked. Appointments are now linked to your HealthEngine account instead of your mobile phone number. The Android app will show you all of the appointments you have made while you are logged into your HealthEngine account. In order to see your appointments, you need to be logged into your HealthEngine account at the time of the booking in order to view your appointment.

To log into your HealthEngine account, go to the Settings tab, then tap the “Log In” button at the top of the screen. The log in screen will also let you create a HealthEngine account if you don’t currently have one.

Do I need to enter my appointment details every time I make a booking?

Version 2.0 of the Android app, released on May 23, 2016, will now remember all of your patient information (name, email, mobile, address) when you make a booking, and it will automatically fill out that information when you make the next booking.

Since your information is linked to your HealthEngine account, you must be logged into your HealthEngine account for this functionality to work.

How do I save my practice?

In the Android app, you can favourite as many practices as you like by tapping the star icon in the top right-hand corner or a practice’s profile. The favourited practice will then appear on the main appointment search screen with a star.

Is it possible to favourite multiple practices?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of practices you can mark as a favourite.

How can I reset my password?

You can reset your password from the log in screen within the app. Tap the email field as if you were going to log in, and you’ll see a button “Forgot your password?” appear below.  Tap this button, enter your email address, and the app will email you a link to reset your password.

You can also reset your password from the HealthEngine web site.

All of my GPs, Dentist, Physios are no longer listed.

There has been no change to the practices or practitioners listed in the app.  Please send support@healthengine.com.au the name of the practice you are looking for and we can check to see why it isn’t listed, or help you find it in the app.

What can I do if I get an error message when I try to book an appointment?

Please send support@healthengine.com.au a screenshot of the error message, along with the name and location of the practice you are trying to book an appointment with.  We will look into it and get the error fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can try booking that appointment from the HealthEngine website.
